Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) cameras are cameras which are capable of being controlled remotely to pan (rotate) or tilt, or zoom in or out. This can be particularly useful in telehealth applications, if the patient is unable to adjust the camera themselves, or if the clinician wants to examine the patient directly without making the patient stop and adjust the camera for them each time they need a different view.
SecureVideo has two different video platforms integrated that users can switch between: Zoom and One-Click
If you’re not sure which platform your account (or your host’s account) uses, check the installation button in the lower left hand corner of your Dashboard (if you have an account with SecureVideo) or your Waiting Room page (if you have been invited to a session through SecureVideo).
PTZ camera control is currently supported using our Zoom video engine, and planned for future support in the One-Click video engine.
If using Zoom, the following camera models or manufacturers are confirmed supported:
1. Logitech PTZ Pro 2 camera
2. VDO360 HD PTZ USB cameras
3. Vaddio RoboSHOT 12 HD PTZ camera
*For details on how to request PTZ camera control in a session, please see the support article, Zoom: Video Settings on Mac or Windows Computer.
